The Jamie, style 12795, is Schneiders’ version of the traditional Schladminger coat that is naturally water repellent, breathable, insulating with a distinctive style using typical welt chest pockets, long inverted back pleat, flap front pockets, sleeve table and large collar. The 100% virgin loden wool fabric was originally made to withstand tears from sharp Alpine rocks and 130 years later is still supplied to Schneiders by the family-owned Steiner company in Austria. Removable blue fox fur (sustainably grown by shed-fur collecting and sheering). Made to be an outerwear coat capable of keeping you warm and dry through snowy Austrian winters. Fully lined. As expected, Schneiders of Austria has won my heart once again with this beautiful, warm coat in the traditional hunting style of long ago. The world will be sad to see them retire as a company but will enjoy the warm wool for many years to come.
