This classic boiled wool coat from Geiger of Austria is one of the most popular car coats AlpenStyle offers, making it an ideal outerwear piece for timeless style and unparalleled durability. The Alabaster is a true winter-white color that is a cooler ivory color which in most fabrics seems crazy to have an ivory coat for winter, but the natural water and stain resistance and easy maintenance of just brushing off any dirt with water, makes this a fabulous color; elegant and a bit dressier. Meant to be worn over jackets/sweaters, we have adjusted the sizing to accommodate the preferred US fit (i.e. not quite so oversized as the Europeans prefer). This beautiful women’s coat regulates body temperature perfectly due to the tiny air chambers that are created when the wool is subjected to heat and then shrunk, producing boiled wool. The A-line cut, rounded pockets and stand-up collar define this elegant coat. The bottom button is set lower than the rest, offering a unique design detail that adds visual interest. It can be easily accessorized with a scarf, pin, or choker necklace of pearls, further enhancing the unique European flair of this designer coat. Made in Austria. If a tall size 8 or chest is largest measurement, size 38 needed, if under 5ft 5 inches, then size down to 36.
