Beautiful and functional, the Latvia vest is sure to be this year's hands down top seller for Icelandic Design. This vest is perfect for adding a beautiful layer of warmth and style. The Latvia vest has it all; the hand embroidery gives a nod to traditional designs, the velvet ribbon gives some dimension and texture. the discreet front zipper and pockets give it great functionality for easy on/off, and the Norse wool, which is a tightly knitted wool (a bit coarser to the hand than boiled wool) gives added warmth. The extensive embroidery on the front chest is duplicated at the collar and in a small upper square on the back. Two vertical zippered pockets are discreetly hidden on the side seams. Fully lined with chenille trim inside the collar to prevent any wool directly touching the skin. The Latvia's embroidery uses slightly muted colors, but when set against the black wool, it creates a vibrant contrast (this vest is the one exception to the rule for those of us who don't normally look good in black).
